Automatic driving lessons

You may have heard that learning to drive in an automatic car is easier than a manual. Automatic driving lessons do better suit some of our customers as it usually it takes less time to pass your test as you don’t have to learn how to change gear using the gear stick and clutch; bad clutch control can lead to frequent stalling! When you have your driving lesson in an automatic car, this is all done for you so all you need to concentrate on is steering and using the accelerator and brake. If you are not a confident driver, perhaps automatic driving instruction would be best for you.

Driving lessons near me

When you search for driving instructors near me, think about some important key factors. Did you know that the DVSA recommend you spend between 30-45 hours learning to drive? On that basis, we advise that you use a qualified driving instructor rather than friends or family. When you need to find a driving class, make sure your instructor is approved by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and is not an instructor in training. There are 3 tests to complete to get your full licence; hazard perception, theory and practical driving test, so make sure that when searching for driving school near you that your instructor will get you through them.

How much are lessons?

When we are asked ‘how much are driving lessons?’ there is no simple answer apart from we are competitively priced. This is because we have lots of ways you can purchase your lessons which depend on whether you are learning to drive a manual or automatic car, having intensive driving lessons, a refresher course or a Bell Juniors course. In short, how much are lessons in a manual car? From £27 – and £28 for an automatic. You can also purchase lessons in blocks of ten.

Intensive driving courses

Intensive driving courses are a great way for you to learn quickly and pass your test faster than going down the traditional lesson route. Our intensive driving courses are specially designed to help you pass in as little as one or two weeks and run between 8am-5pm Monday to Friday so you can choose your 2-3 hour slot during this timeframe weeks before your test date. Before you embark on any intensive driving courses with us, our qualified instructors will assess your capability to see how much work is required to get you to test standard.

Cost of a driving lesson

The cost of driving lessons doesn’t have to break the bank. We fully understand that some students prefer to reduce the cost of driving lessons by using a member of the family or a friend to help teach them. However, whilst this may be saving money, you won’t get the same expertise. Our driving instructors ensure they are knowledgeable on the latest driving laws, changes to driving tests, and know what is expected of you on test day.
